Bears
The Bears come in 3 sizes – 12”, 8” and 5” in standing positions. The tiny 5” bear is only 3” tall when seated and the most popular. All of the bear sizes have been made from pieces of old, worn and discarded quilts, cut to minimize any damage and are fully articulated. Besides being made from vintage/antique quilt fabrics, the tiniest bears are also fashioned from used embroidered dresser scarves, dish towels, doilies, etc. They are cut and pieced to take advantage of all the lovely hand embroidery work done in the past. The bears were made as gifts for friends and sold in museum gifts shops in Washington, DC and Folsom, CA.
